Registered Nurse- Labor and Delivery

Requirements

Required:

    * BS in Nursing
    * Alaska State Registered Nursing License
    * Must have provided clinic-nursing services, preferably perinatal for minimum of 12 months within the last 60 months.

Registered Nurse- OR


The OR nurse shall OR nurse duties required for the Government, at the 3rd Medical
Operations Squadron,Elmendorf Air Force Base Hospital. Contractor shall furnish all
labor, management, supervision, teaching, consultations and reports.  Performance
shall be according to the requirements contained in this Appendix, and professional
standards of the Joint Commission.

The Health Care Professional (HCP) must be knowledgeable about a wide-range of directives
and policies governing perioperative care.  This position requires the effective deployment of
assessment, interpretation, monitoring, analytical and evaluation skills. The incumbent must
 be able to recognize both subtle and overt changes to the patient’s condition which may
require emergency intervention and to anticipate and handle unexpected occurrences.
This position requires prompt and clinically accurate decisions regarding the management
of life-threatening conditions the incumbent must be able to respond promptly
and with good judgment.

Nurse Practitioner- mTBI

Nurse Practitioner- Traumatic Brain Injury(mTBI)
The Contractor shall provide a Nurse Practitioner (NP) with mid-level experience to
provide services for Government Beneficiaries at the 3rd Medical Group (3MDG),
Elmendorf Base Hospital also referred to as the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).
Contractor shall furnish all labor, management, supervision, teaching, consultations,
and reports. The contractor’s hall furnish all labor, management, supervision, teaching,
consultations and reports. Performance shall be according to the requirements contained
in this appendix, the Performance Based Statement of Work contract, applicable
Joint Commission standards, TRICARE, Department of Defense (DoD)/Veterans
Administration (VA)/United States Army (USA)/United States Air Force (USAF)
Instructions/Regulations and Alaska state laws/regulations.

Primarily responsible for conducting secondary level history and physical screenings
contingent upon a referral from another provider to determine level of care required
for traumatic brain injury patients. Will function under the supervision of a physician
or neuropsychologist with the approval for the Medicine Flight Commander or designee.
Will be required to provide medical management and patient education in coordination
with the mTBI case manager, Neurologist and Neuropsychologist and
associated Mental Health practitioners.
